Annual Bash by the Bay 11 & 12 September, 2004
photos and show coverage by Curt Scott

above: West Coast Performance Center's show roadster. This is how a Cobra might look if, say, George Barris, Ed Roth, John DeLorean and Marc Chagall all teamed up and collaborated to produce a no-holds-barred Shelby-inspired show stopper!

WCPC came away from the show with the NCKCC's "Best Manufacturer" trophy.

Take a close look at that jackstand on the right: that's a custom-designed (by WCPC) solid-cast-aluminum that's targeted to look like a Halibrand wheel. Fits over the hub just like a wheel... albeit--rumour has it--a bit out of round and out of balance. Lots of showgoers captured this jackstand gem on film and pixel arrays.

above: NCKCC former prez Paul King at left beside his (1929 Mercedes-based)
Gazelle; that's the NCKCC's Dave Jones on the driver's side.

above: Hans Kiel's dazzling Duke (styling based upon the 1939 Jaguar SS100).

above: Joel Heinke (red shirt/red BB cap) and his perpetual-project-car
Ferrari GTO replica. Joel is a past president of the NCKCC.

Above: Colin and Irene Faithfull were there with the latest incarnation of their
popular Cal Ace... which was Auto Carriers' granddaddy of the Shelby Cobra.

Photo above is hotlinked to Cal Ace's CobraCountry website.

at right: at Left, the NCKCC's Gene Stager, at right, the venerable and much revered and admired Vern Hance, armed as usual with a digicam and a digital movie camera!

That's WCPC's "Venom Roadster" in the background.
